MG Hector is Chinese state owned automotive
MG Motor is the largest importer of Chinese made cars into the United Kingdom. Since the day MG Hector is introduced the attempt is to make a perception that it is a British car. Look at their advertisement they got Benedict Cumberbatch and now they have other British actors and British setup for advertisement. Nowhere they are pushing the idea of Made in China.
Made in China has a reputation of a cheap product and not quality. But they are pushing MG Hector as a British car and that makes it first Chinese Car in international market.
